Taylor Puts All 18 Teams on 2024-2025 NAIA Scholar-Teams List

UPLAND, Ind. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced its list of 2024-2025 Scholar-Teams on Monday, with Taylor having each of its varsity athletic teams earn the honor by posting a combined grade-point average of 3.0 and above for the 13th-straight year.
Taylor was one-of-eight institutions from the NAIA with at least 18 varsity athletic programs to see 100-percent of their teams honored as NAIA Scholar-Teams. The Trojans (18) joined Indiana Tech (25), Ave Maria (23), Doane (22), Mount Vernon Nazarene (22), Dordt (21), Concordia (NE) (21) and Saint Francis (IN) (19) on the list of top academic performers.
In addition to having each of its 18 teams post a grade-point average over the 3.0 mark during the 2024-2025 year, Taylor had 17 teams come in above 3.2, with 15 teams above the 3.3 mark and 10 teams posting GPAs of 3.5 and above.
Taylor had two teams ranked inside the top-100 in the NAIA across all sports, with women's basketball ranking 38th with a combined grade-point average of 3.84 and women's soccer following in 86th with a mark of 3.78.
TU ranked second among all women's basketball teams with the 3.84 GPA, with men's indoor track also ranking second in its respective sport at 3.57. Other teams ranking near the top of their sports were men's outdoor track (3.57) in fourth, women's soccer (3.78) in sixth, football (3.28) in sixth, men's cross country (3.66) in seventh and men's lacrosse (3.11) in ninth.
In all, Taylor had 11 of its teams ranked inside the top-25 in their respective sports, with eight of TU's nine men's programs accomplishing that task.
